Introduction
INTRODUCTION:-
The TTDC Ltd was established in August 1980. Started raising Tea garden from 1982 in Machmara Tea Estate and then Kamalasagar Tea Estate in 1984, Brahmakunda TE from 1986 also Laxmilunga TE and Tufanialunga TE were assumed during the year 2022 for interim management support. Presently, there are 2 factories – (i) CTPF at Durgabari in 1990 and (ii) BTPF in Brahmakunda in 2015.
MANDATE AND OBJECTIVES:
Promote /manage Tea Estate in Tripura
Safeguard the future of the Tea Industry.
Protect the interests of workers and increase employment potentialities.
Producing and raising of tea plantation, processing of tea leaves, selling of made tea.
Revive sick tea gardens.
Increase workers productivity of tea plantation with introduction of machineries during planting, pruning and plucking.
Technical advise to the small tea gardens.

MGNREGA SCHEME.
Tea Plantations have been raised for Small Tea Growers by TTDC Ltd during the last few years under MGNREGA Scheme.
Total area covered 1108 acre under tea plantation and 1032 nos of beneficiaries are benefited in different RD Blocks like Chandipur, Salema, Durgachowmuhani, Pacherthal, Kumarghat and Dumburnagar RD Block etc including 5 nos. Co-Op TEs.
At present, tea plantation is not permitted under MGNREGA Scheme.
