Achievements

ACHIEVEMENTS OF THIS CORPORATION FROM 2018-2023. 

1. Tripura Tea Development Corporation Ltd. has introduced a Logo for “Tripura Tea” during the year during the year 2018-19 as Brand to have recognition of Tripura Tea in the National and Global Market.
2. This Corporation has opened a “Tea Corner” at Birchandra State Central Library, Agartala for promotion of Tripura Tea.
3. This Corporation has launched “TRIPURESWARI TEA” Packet Tea during the year 2018-19. 
4. This Corporation has started distribution and selling Tripureswari Packet Tea through Fair Price Shop under Public Distribution System (PDS). Initially, it was started in the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) area as pilot project during 2019-20 and subsequently it has been expanded throughout the state and now Tripureswari Packet Tea of TTDC Ltd. is available in all the Fair Price Shops. 
5. A New Green Tea Processing Factory at Panchamnagar, Kailashahar, Unakoti District has been established with cost of Rs. 120.00 Lakhs funded by the Govt. of Tripura and presently handed over to the Panchamnagar Co-operative Society on 20-05-2020 for the benefit of nearby small tea growers of the Unakoti District. 

THE PROJECTS BEING IMPLEMENTED:-

(a) Sanctioned an amount of Rs.327.63 Lakhs for setting up of a Mini Tea Processing Factory at Machmara Tea Estate under Machmara ADC Village, Unakoti District to facilitate the Small tea growers of that area. The Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. has been given the responsibilities for construction of the factory and presently it’s under tendering stage.

(b) The Modernization /upgradation of Brahmakunda Tea Processing Factory, Simna, West Tripura under this corporation has been taken up with cost of Rs.302.00 lakh from financial assistance of the North Eastern Council, NEC Shillong. The Chief Engineer, Rural Development Department, Govt. of Tripura has been given the responsibilities for construction of the project. The agency for the construction has already been finalized by the Chief Engineer, Rural Development Department, Govt. of Tripura through e-tender and the civil work will be taken up shortly.

THE PROJECT PROPOSED TO BE IMPLEMENTED:-

(a) A project for Modernization/upgradation of Central Tea Processing Factory, Durgabari, West Tripura under this corporation with cost of Rs.755 lakh and in this regard DPR & Estimate  has been sent to the North Eastern Council, Shillong, approval / sanction awaited.

(b) Proposal for Export Tripura Tea to the Bangladesh is under consideration of the Govt. 

(c) Proposal for Establishment of Tea e-auction centre in Tripura is under consideration of the Govt.

(d) Proposal for establishment of Tea Park (Tea base industrial Park) in Tripura to facilitate the tea growers and boosting up of Tea industry. The project proposal is under preparation.
